High Commissioner Bainimarama Presents Credentials to the King of Malaysia

16th March, 2012, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: His Excellency Ratu Meli Bainimarama, Fiji’s High Commissioner to Malaysia presented his Credentials to the King of Malaysia, His Majesty the Yuan di Pertuan Agong in a ceremony held at the new Palace in Istana Negara on Thursday, 15th March 2012.

His Majesty the Yuan di Pertuan Agong received the Letter of Credence from High Commissioner Bainimarama and he then conveyed the warm greetings from Fiji’s President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, and extended the well wishes of the Government and the people of Fiji. High Commissioner Bainimarama was amongst twelve other Heads of Mission that presented their credentials to the King of Malaysia.

After the ceremony, the Fijian community prepared  the “ Soqo ni Vakasenuqanuqa” to High Commissioner Bainimarama at Fiji House which was witnessed by Papua New Guinea High Commissioner, His Excellency Veali Vagi and Madam Vagi, Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials and Friends of Fiji.

The Soqo ni Vakasenuqanuqa commences with a Thanks Giving Church service, followed by the Traditional Ceremony for the Vakasenuqanuqa, and a luncheon.
