SP Sakiasi Tamani graduates from NRI Jakarta

18th December, 2011, Jakarta, Indonesia: Superintendent of Police Sakiasi Tamani successfully completed a 13-month course organized by the National Resilience Institute and graduated on the 16th of December 2011.

The name of the Course is ‘Regular Training Course’ which was conducted at the Institute of National Resilience of the Republic of Indonesia at Jakarta from 15th March to 16th December, 2011. As the course was conducted in the Indonesian Language all the participants from thirteen other countries [Jordan, Algeria, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, China, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Madagascar and Fiji] attended an Indonesian Language Course also at Jakarta from 1st September, 2010 to 13th March, 2011 prior to joining the eighty seven participants from Indonesia in undertaking the Regular Training Course.

The Institute of National Resilience of the Republic of Indonesia serves as a think tank for the President and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. The Institute is also a Non-Department Government Institution subordinate and responsible to the President. Lemhannas as it is known in the Indonesian language has a Vision to create national leaders who dare to maintain a robust, comprehensive, integral and holistic National Integrity based on the Nations Ideology namely Pancasila [The Five Principles/Pillars of the Indonesian Society], the 1945 Constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and the principle of Unity in Diversity. The establishment of Lemhannas was a response to the strategic development nationally and internationally which suggested the need for integration and close cooperation and dynamics between Civilians, the Military and the Police as well as Heads of the National Private Sectors, leaders or political organizations and social organizations to ensure proper state governance. The establishment of Lemhannas was also to fulfill one national urgent need in the efforts to safeguard and preserve the national ideals, the goal of the nation and the sustainability of the nation amidst the political games in the world.

Meanwhile the main tasks of Lemhannas is to carry out government tasks in the field of Strategic Studies on various national as well as international issues required by the President and the decision makers of the national policies; and in the sector of Education, is to prepare cadres of potential leaderships at the national level and ensuring the national leadership as having the mindset, attitude and action in a solid, comprehensive and integrated manner.

For 2011 Lemhannas conducted this 46th ‘Regular Training Course’ and Graduating 95 participants on the 16th of December, 2011, for successfully completing the mastering education of Strategic and Resilience Studies.
