3rd November 2011, Suva: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has received the highest rating by any Government Ministry in the second quarter April-June 2011 evaluation of its performance against its Annual Corporate Plan.

The assessment by the Strategic Framework for Change Coordinating Office (SFCCO) saw the Ministry scoring 89.06% compared to its first quarter rating of 85.73% when it was placed second overall amongst all Government Ministries.

The role of SFCCO is to monitor the implementation of Governments plans as guided by the Strategic Framework for Change 2009-2014 and the accompanying Roadmap for Sustainable Socio-economic Development of the Peoples Charter for Change Peace and Progress. As such, reports from various Government Ministries are compiled, after consultation with respective officers and the outputs weighed according to the Monitoring and Evaluation software by the SFCCO office.

The Ministry has since last year scored consistently in the top two places amongst all Government Ministries in its quarterly assessment by the SFCCO.

Speaking about their continuing outstanding performance the Permanent Secretary paid tribute to the leadership of the Minister and her predecessor Mr Solo Mara and the commitment and professionalism of the rest of the staff including all our overseas Missions that has seen the Ministry achieve such high honors.
