7th July 2011, Suva: Today the Ministry farewell Mr. Alifereti Naioko and Mrs. Amali Sauduadua who will be departing next week to serve as First Secretaries at Fiji's High Commissions in New Delhi, India and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia respectively.
Speaking at the farewell morning tea at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Secretary (Economics & Trade) Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation Mr. Shaheen Ali reminded both new diplomats of the important responsibilities that has been entrusted to them:
"You will be representing Fiji on and off the field all the time you are in the Mission Area. Do your utmost to serve Fiji to the best of your abilities and be assured of the Ministry's support in your new appointments."
Last month the Ministry also farewell Fiji's new High Commissioner designate to South Africa His Excellency Mr. Ben Salacakau who has left to take up his new appointment in South Africa. Last week also saw the departure of Mr. Jonetani Taqivetaua to take up his new appointment as Second Secretary at Fiji's High Commission in Canberra Australia.
