President Visits Fiji High Commission, London

16th June 2011,  London, UK: H.E Ratu Epeli Nailatikau visited the Fiji High Commission in London during the weekend 11-12 June, 2011 after attending the UN High –Level meeting on HIV/AIDS in New York. The visit is to meet with the staff as well as the Fijian community in London. He is accompanied by his Official Secretary, Mr. Joweli Rokovada, Aide de Camp, Mr. Ifereimi Sakumeni and Security officer, Mr. Silivenusi Namata.

Ratu Epeli also had a "Talanoa session" with the Fijian community hosted at the Chancery and those attended comprised of retired British Army officers. Also present was our Ambassador in Brussels and his good wife, HE Mr. and Mrs. Vocea. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss development and progress made by the government. The Fijian community was very appreciative of the meeting and overall a success. It was followed by a lunch hosted by the staff and families.

The President and entourage depart for Sinai on Monday morning to visit our soldiers serving in the MFO.
