Government of the Republic of Fiji
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
A Better Fiji through Excellence in Foreign Service
10th May 2011: Enroute to Brazil the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs &International Cooperation Mr. Solo Mara stopped over in New York and met with Fijian Diplomats at our Missions in Washington and New York to discuss their Work Plans for the year.
As the Ministry steps up its activities in preparation of the opening this year of two new Embassies in South Africa and Brazil the Ministry is coordinating closely with all its overseas Missions to ensure that all work is directed towards delivering the outputs Government has set for the Ministry.
The discussions were very helpful to our Missions as it enabled them to hear firsthand from the Permanent Secretary the priorities of Government and the Ministry in the immediate future.
