President receives New Marshall Envoy

Marshall_envoy12th July 2012: His Excellency the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau received the credentials of the new resident Ambassador of the Republic of Marshall Islands His Excellency Mr Fredrick Muller at Government House, today.

In accepting the letters of credence, Ratu Epeli wished the new envoy of the Marshall Islands that his time in Fiji would help bring the two countries even closer together in the different areas of cooperation.

H.E Muller comes with a lot of experience in the different fields of the civil service after holding senior postings in the Office of the Auditor General, Ministry of Resource and Development, and the Public Accounts Committee.

He has also held the position of Business Manager at the College of Marshall Islands.

Mr Muller was the Marshall Islands’ Minister for Resource and Development in 2008, a post he held for two years.

He played an active role in the completion of the Food and Nutrition Policy 1994 for his home country and has been instrumental in other successful policies implemented by the Government of Marshall Islands.

Mr Muller is married and has three children.
