Fiji UK Mission Hosts The Rifles Fijian Choir

22 November 2012: Fiji's High Commissioner to the UK Mr. Solo Mara and his staff recently hosted the Rifles Fijian Choir at the High Commission in London.

Fijians in the Armed Forces are not only known for their military or rugby skills but now making another headline in the UK with their singing talent. The Rifles Fijian Choir made up of 50 men in the Armed Forces around UK has been singing and lately; entertaining before a huge crowd at the renowned Royal Albert Hall in London.

Before the entertainment, the Choir visited the Chancery as most of them had never been to the Mission before and was an opportunity to meet with our staff. After their superb performance at the Royal Albert Hall, they were requested to also entertain during the Fiji vs. England rugby game at Twickenham and to sing the national anthem in front of a crowd of 50,000.
