12th December 2012: Fiji’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola and Ms Shyreen Bashir, Senior Training Advisor from the Public Service Commission met with three second year Fijian students in Settat, Morocco.The students are amongst the 11 that are recipients of the Scholarship provided by the Kingdom of Morocco.
The students shared their experience of Morocco. The three students, Amitesh Narayan, Aaqib Rahaman and Tevita Rokotovitovi have successfully completed their six months of French language studies and are now pursuing studies in their respective disciplines.Their respective degrees are conducted in French.
Ratu Inoke Kubuabola encouraged the students to continue their studies with vigor and determination amid the challenges encountered by the students in the new environment. He further added that the successful completion of their studies will add to Fiji’s capacity and also positively contribute to the countries nation building.
The students have identified certain issues and challenges which Ms Bashir has noted for further discussions with the Public Service Commission and the International Cooperation Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
