Suva - Fiji is looking forward to strengthening its bilateral relations with New Zealand. Foreign Affairs Minister, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola meet New Zealand’s Acting Head of Mission, Mr. Mark Ramsden in Suva today.
Mr Ramsden congratulated Ratu Inoke as the Foreign Affairs Minister.
The two discussed issues that are of importance on bilateral level, regional level and multilateral level.
They also discussed possible areas of cooperation between the two countries which will enhance their bilateral relations.
Ratu Inoke was presented with a ‘Te Toki’, a Maori Adze. The Maori Adze was the property of a chieftain’s family.
The ‘Te Toki’ was carried by the Chief on ceremonial occasions as a symbol of his status establishing him as a man of authority.
