Minister Kubuabola meets investors from China

Jan 16, 2015- Minister for Foreign Affairs Ratu Inoke Kubuabola has assured a group of investors from China that now is the perfect time to come and invest in Fiji.

Given the incentives offered by the Fijian Government, Minister Kubuabola told the 12 member delegation from Shenzhen, a city in Southern China that they must make the most of this investment friendly opportunity.

The delegation with business interests and investments in resort development and agriculture visited Minister Kubuabola and updated him of their possible investment plans in Fiji.

Minister Kubuabola is optimistic that with the hard work of Fiji’s diplomats abroad, a lot of investment opportunities could be generated for the country.

He thanked the potential investors from Shenzhen for their interests and assured them that Fiji was the best destination.

Head of delegation Du Shang Shun thanked Minister Kubuabola for his advice and said they were keen on coming to start up investments in Fiji.

Mr Shun said that apart from looking at resort sites, they were also checking out agricultural investment opportunities.

Mr Shun believed they would be able to contribute to those two sectors and help Fiji’s economy.
