Fijian Prime Minister Congratulates Tonga

Fijian_PM_Congratulates_Samoa1st June, 2012: Fijian Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama has sent a congratulatory message to his Tongan counterpart, Siale’ataonga Tu’ivakano on the occasion of the island kingdom of Tonga’s 42nd independence anniversary.

“I wish to extend Prime Minister, on behalf of the Government and the People of Fiji, and on my own behalf, our warmest congratulations and best wishes for your personal well-being as well as the well-being of your citizens, and for the continued progress and prosperity of The Friendly Islands of Tonga,” Prime Minister Bainimarama said.

Prime Minister Bainimarama added that he was confident that the meaningful relations between Tonga and Fiji would continue to prosper and strengthen in the coming years.

The island kingdom will celebrate 42 years of independence on June 4, 2012.
