PM Sends Best Wishes to Argentina

25th May, 2012: Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama today sent a congratulatory message to the Argentine Republic as it celebrates its National Day.

In a letter to the Argentine President Her Excellency Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, PM Bainimarama sent greetings and well wishes from Fiji.

Her Excellency Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is also Head of State and Head of the Argentine Government.

“As the Government of the Argentine Republic celebrates its National Day on 25th May, I wish to extend to you on behalf of the Government and the People of Fiji our most sincere congratulations and best wishes for your well-being, and for the continued progress and prosperity of your country and its citiizens,” Prime Minister Bainimarama stated.

Fiji and Argentina signed a joint communiqué in April 1975 and have since enjoyed cordial relations.

However, in recent years they have enjoyed closer relations following the opening of Fiji’s embassy in Brazil.

“I’m confident that the relations our countries share will continue to prosper in the coming years,” PM Bainimarama.
