FIJI AND PNG REAFFIRM COMMITMENT TO DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION

A delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Tourism met with the Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka.
The meeting took place yesterday at the margins of the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Special Retreat, held this week in Nadi from Thursday 23rd to Friday 24th February 2023.
The Saudi Arabia’s delegation was led by the Chief of Staff of Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Tourism, Saja Alhoshan.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the delegation to speak directly with Prime Minister Rabuka on issues of mutual interest and partnership.
Discussions focused on the prospects for economic cooperation and Saudi Arabia is keen to further strengthen its relations with Fiji in shared priorities.
At the meeting, Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its support for the People’s Coalition Government. The delegation were also grateful to Prime Minister Rabuka for the opportunity to discuss the potential areas of cooperation between the two nations.
High Level delegation from the Pacific region and international countries have converged in Fiji this week for the Pacific Island Forum Leaders Retreat, which is based on the theme, “Reflection, Renewal and Celebrations.”
