Fiji And Samoa to Strengthen Bilateral Relations to Newer Heights

Fiji welcomes the opportunity to work in partnership with the Republic of the Marshall Islands to advance areas of shared aspirations and cooperation.
Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka highlighted this during a bilateral meeting with the President of the Marshall Islands, His Excellency David Kabua in Nadi yesterday. He said Fiji values our cordial relations with Marshall Islands which spans over 35 years.
There is an increasing number of Fijians working and residing in the Republic of the Marshall Islands- a testament to the strong relationship our countries share.
Prime Minister Rabuka said that this is a good foundation from which we can build our terms of cooperation and expand into other areas.
He took the opportunity to also commend the leadership and advocacy of Marshall Islands on Climate Change, Human Rights and Blue Shipping.
His Excellency Mr Kabua echoed the sentiments of other Pacific leaders in congratulating Prime Minister Rabuka on his recent election as Fiji’s new Prime Minister following the 2022 General Elections.
He also thanked Prime Minister Rabuka for the opportunity to meet and further discuss areas of common interests and opportunities, whilst working together as a unified Pacific family.
