The Hon. Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama received Fiji’s Ambassador designate to Indonesia, Her Excellency Seleima Veisamasama, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office.
Prior to her diplomatic appointment, Ambassador Veisamasama was a school teacher, serving for 38 years in the education sector.
She has also worked for several Non-Government Organizations, including the World Wildlife Fund in 2006. Ambassador Veisamasama is passionate advocate for the fight against substance abuse, awareness of HIV and AIDS, and the prevention of teenage pregnancy in Fiji.
Ambassador Veisamasama is a graduate of the University of the South Pacific (USP), where she attained a Bachelor of Science and Diploma in Education and a Certificate in Diplomacy and International Relations. She is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Certificate in Governance at USP.
