Amid a resurgence in economic and diplomatic engagement between Fiji and Australia, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison will travel to Fiji this week for the first-ever official bilateral visit by an Australian Prime Minister to Fiji.
The two-day visit is scheduled from 17th to 18th January 2019. Prime Minister Morrison is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama in Suva on the day of his arrival.
During the visit, Prime Minister Morrison will also pay a courtesy call on His Excellency, the President of Fiji, Major General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote.
While in Fiji, PM Morrison plans to deliver a speech at the University of the South Pacific (USP) and conduct site visits to the Australian Pacific Training Coalition (APTC), Fiji National University (FNU) campus and the Blackrock project in Nadi.
