Fijian Prime Minister and Chair of the Pacific Islands Forum, Voreqe Bainimarama, attended the Pacific reception ahead of the second United Nations Ocean Conference in Lisbon, Portugal.
Hosted by the Office of the Pacific Ocean Commissioner and Asian Development Bank, the reception was also attended by the President of Palau, His Excellency, Surangel Whipps Jr, the Tongan Prime Minister, Honourable Siaosi Sovaleni, and other notable dignitaries who are linked to the Pacific Vuvale.
br> Prime Minister Bainimarama also took the opportunity to dialogue with the Pacific leaders and those present, in the pursuit of accelerating the “ocean agenda”.
br> Meanwhile, Prime Minister Bainimarama is attending the high-level ocean conference not only for every Fijian but also for the Pacific and will press ahead with the agenda on accelerating the adoption of science-based innovative solutions for challenges to oceans and the global marine ecosystem.
