Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday (28/07/22) commended the outgoing Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, His Excellency, John Feakes for his sound leadership in further strengthening Fiji and Australia’s bilateral relations.
Prime Minister Bainimarama conveyed these remarks to High Commissioner Feakes while hosting him to a farewell lunch in Suva.
During his tenure of about five years in Fiji, High Commissioner Feakes was very instrumental in the successful signing of the Vuvale Partnership.
“On behalf of a grateful nation, I thank you for your service. Vinaka vakalevu for taking Fiji and Australia’s relationship to greater heights,” Prime Minister Bainimarama added.
