Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama today had the opportunity to meet with the Vice President of the United States of America, Her Excellency, Kamala Harris where they discussed the U.S, Fiji and Pacific engagements at the White House in Washington DC.
As chair of the Pacific Islands Forum, Prime Minister Bainimarama conveyed his appreciation to Vice President Harris for her virtual engagement during the recent Pacific Leaders Forum which was held in Suva.
He informed the Vice President that he welcomed the very significant progress in USA partnerships with the Pacific through its support for our 2050 strategy and the Indo-Pacific engagement.
On behalf of the Pacific Leaders, Prime Minister Bainimarama said they are looking forward to a historic and successful President Biden and Pacific Leaders Summit at the White House in the near future.
