Prime Minister and the Minister for Foreign Affairs Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka continues to receive congratulatory messages from global and regional leaders.
The Prime Minister of Georgia His Excellency Mr. Irakli Garibashvili congratulated Prime Minister Rabuka for the recent elections and reaffirmed Georgia’s commitment to further develop the cordial relations between the two countries.
“I would like to reiterate that Georgia attaches great importance to the enhancement of bilateral ties with the Republic of Fiji. Let me express hope that friendship between our countries will grow, as well as mutually beneficial cooperation in international fora will strengthen in the years to come.”
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia His Excellency Mr. Ivica Dačić extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister Rabuka.
“I am convinced that the period ahead will be marked by the further development of bilateral relations, political dialogue and overall cooperation between our two countries in the spirit of friendship and mutual respect, to which I stand ready to give my personal contribution,” Mr Dačić said.
Federal Republic of Germany’s, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock in a congratulatory letter conveyed Germany’s best wishes and support to Prime Minister Rabuka.
“Germany and Fiji’s good relations are characterised by diversity and include, among other things, fighting the impacts of climate crisis. I am looking forward to marking the 50th anniversary of our bilateral diplomatic relations this year. We intend to open an Embassy in Suva in order to further intensify our good ties, as well as generally expand activities throughout the Pacific region.”
