Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka has conveyed his condolences to his Australian counterpart, Hon. Anthony Albanese after the random stabbing attack at Westfield Bondi Junction in Sydney over the weekend in which six people are confirmed to have been killed.
PM Rabuka confirmed today that he reached out to Prime Minister Albanese upon hearing the news over the weekend.
In his condolence message, PM Rabuka extended the Coalition Government and the people of Fiji’s deepest sympathy to the families of the victims.
“Australia is a member of our “Vuvale” and our thoughts are with those who have lost their loved ones and those who are still being treated in medical facilities,” he highlighted.
“Fiji stands with you during this time and we offer our support to you and the people of Australia.” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also confirmed that no Fijian was injured during the incident.
