Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka has conveyed a congratulatory message to the Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the historic 3rd term victory in India’s recent elections.
On behalf of the Government and the people of Fiji, Prime Minister Rabuka extended his heartiest congratulations to Prime Minister Modi for the landslide victory in India’s elections 3rd time in a row. Prime Minister Rabuka acknowledged the historical and cultural links which signifies the enduring relationship and cooperation between our two nations.
Further, Prime Minister Rabuka said that Prime Minister Modi’s historic victory demonstrates the unwavering trust and support which the people of India have in his visionary and inspirational leadership.
In reaffirming Fiji’s continued collaboration, Prime Minister Rabuka said he looks forward to working closely with Prime Minister Modi to deepen cooperation between our two nations to accomplish shared aspirations and commitment to democracy, economic resilience and social wellbeing of our nations.
On the same note, Prime Minister Rabuka conveyed the best wishes of the Fijian people and the Government of Fiji to Prime Minister Modi for his new tenure and for the continued prosperity of India and its peoples.
During their meeting at the margins of the 3rd Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) held in Papua New Guinea (PNG) in May last year, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further advance the development cooperation and engagements between the two nations.
