Fiji’s Ambassador to Indonesia, concurrently accredited to Singapore, Ambassador Amenatave Vakasavuwaqa Yauvoli, presented his Letters of Credence to Her Excellency Halimah Yacob, the President of the Republic of Singapore, at the Istana (Royal/National Palace) in Singapore.
Ambassador Yauvoli conveyed the best wishes and greetings from the President of #Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere, for the personal good health and wellbeing of Her Excellency the President of Singapore, and the continued prosperity of the people of Singapore.
In receiving the Letters of Credence, President Yacob extended congratulatory remarks on Ambassador Yauvoli’s appointment as the Non-Resident High Commissioner of the Republic of Fiji to the Republic of Singapore, with the assurance of the fullest cooperation and support from the Government of Singapore towards the discharge of his duties.
Her Excellency, President Yacob, requested Ambassador Yauvoli to convey her best wishes to the President of Fiji, His Excellency, Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere, and wished the people of Fiji continued peace, progress and prosperity.
President Yacob further recognised the value of Singapore’s existing warm and friendly bilateral relations with Fiji, and remains committed to enhancing existing cooperation to a higher level especially throughout the post-pandemic era.
President Yacob expressed her commitment towards the vast potential for the expansion of the bilateral relations and various cooperation in trade, tourism, climate action initiatives, sports, and human-capital development. Ambassador Yauvoli was accompanied by his spouse Mrs Ruci Yauvoli, and supported by Counsellor Isaac Grace in the auspicious ceremony.
