Republic of Kazakhstan
Fiji established formal diplomatic relations with the Republic of Kazakhstan on 6 June, 2012 and since then have witnessed high-level Leaders /Ministerial visits between the two countries. Kazakhstan’s capital of Astana has been recognized by UNESCO as one of the fastest growing capitals in the world. It is a transcontinental state and is considered as the 9th largest country in the world. Issues which Fiji collaborates in with Kazakhstan includes cooperation in sustainable energy, education, cultural exchange, tourism and security. Negotiations are currently underway for mutual visa arrangement.
The relationship between the two countries is a good example of constructive partnership in the spirit of mutual understanding and friendly cooperation. -

Fiji established formal diplomatic relations with the DPRK on April 14, 1975.
