Passport Application
Please note that the total period of validity of a Fiji Passport is ten years from the original date of issue. It is the responsibility of all passport holders to renew their passport 6 months before expiry or make application for a new passport in cases where the total period of validity has expired.
Applications for new Fiji e-Passports should be lodged in person at the Fiji Embassy in Tokyo at the following address:

FIJIAN e-PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES
1. Requirements for New Passport Applications
- Original/Certified Birth Certificate
- Valid Photo ID
- Marriage Certificate (for married woman)
- Death Certificate if spouse has passed
- Deed Poll for any name change
- Adoption Papers if adopted
- Fijian Citizenship Certificate
- Fee JPY30,000
3. SIGNATURE
Signature should be in the applicant’s own handwriting.
4. ENTITLEMENT TO A FIJI e-PASSPORT
Any Fiji Citizen is entitled to a e-Passport irrespective of age provided all normal requirements are met.
5. e-PASSPORT FEES
Please refer to the Schedule of Fees.
All applicants must make an appointment on info@fijiembassy.jp before visiting the Fiji Embassy in Tokyo.
2. Requirements for Renewal of Passports
- Original/Certified Birth Certificate
- Valid Photo ID (either Japanese or Fijian driving license, residence card, FNPF/FRCS, student card) – any 2 will suffice
- Marriage Certificate (for married woman wanting to use their husband’s surname)
- Official documents for any name change e.g Deed Poll (please ensure that the Deed Poll is also registered in Fiji with the Registrars Office)
- Deed Poll for any name change
- Immigration (residency) status
- Applicants needs to provide a copy of Citizenship Certificate if they are a citizen of another country
- Fee JPY30,000
