Manager Executive Support Unit
The role of the Executive Support Unit (ESU) is to act as a liaison between the Permanent Secretary’s Office, the Offices of the Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Assistant Minister and the internal and external stakeholders of the Ministry, in coordinating communication, facilitating decision-making and playing a pivotal role in enhancing the Ministry’s productivity and efficiency.
The Unit is responsible for the following:
- Ensure the smooth flow of day-to-day operations through the provision of timely, strategic and expert advice to the Permanent Secretary;
- Managing daily activities which includes sorting correspondences, scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, compilation of relevant reports and briefs on topical issues and assisting with special projects undertaken by the Executive Management;
- Maintaining good governance, confidentiality and the integrity of systems and processes through the efficient and effective facilitation of logistics, monitoring and evaluation, timely follow-ups, recording and reporting of all activities within the Ministry; and
- Contribute towards innovation through research and development to optimise efficiency and support the achievement of quality outcomes in line with the Ministry’s intent.
