Mr. Jovilisi Vulailai Suveinakama was commissioned as Fiji’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom on 14th March, 2024. The ceremony, officiated by His Excellency, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, Presdient of the Republic of Fiji, took place at the State House and was attended by the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Lesikimacuata Korovavala.
High Commissioner Suveinakama possesses a distinguished legal background, having served as a Consultant Lawyer at Toganivalu Legal in Fiji, and holds admissions to practice law in New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa, and Tokelau. Notably, High Commissioner Suveinakama played pivotal roles in formulating strategic plans for Tokelau and facilitating economic agreements with New Zealand. High Commissioner Suveinakama’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Waikato, New Zealand.
