Governor-General of Australia, the Honourable David Hurley, and Her Excellency, Mrs Linda Hurley, were farewelled today by the senior officials of the Fijian Government and the Australian High Commission.
Present at the farewell was Minister for Defence, National Security, and Policing, Inia Seruiratu, Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, Mr John Feakes, Fiji’s High Commissioner to Australia, Mr Luke Daunivalu, Commissioner of the Fiji Police Force, Sitiveni Qiliho, Commander Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) – Major General Jone Kalouniwai and members of the defence forces.
At the Nausori airport, a guard of honour was mounted by members of the disciplined forces.
