The event geared towards promoting the Pacific’s rich culture, trade and traditions within India, was recently hosted by four diplomatic missions to India, which includes Fiji’s High Commission, the Australian High Commission, the New Zealand High Commission, and the Papua New Guinea High Commission.
The “2019 Namaste Pacific” was hosted at the official residence of the New Zealand High Commissioner to India, and was attended by 580 guests of the diplomatic corps, government officials, travel agents, trade entities, and media personnel.
The participation of Fiji’s High Commission in this event, has been strategically geared towards promoting socio-economic trade opportunities, and public diplomacy – whilst also providing an insight into Fiji’s unique culture and growing economy.
The event featured Fiji as a ‘regional hub’, for investors to explore new partnerships in areas of trade, tourism, and film industry.
There were also displays of Pacific Green furniture, Fijian niche products such as beauty products, food items, Noni products, and Pacific Paradise Beverages, to name a few.
