The Fiji Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA)Team led by the Deputy Permanent Secretary Mr.Esala Nayasi yesterday bid farewell to the New Zealand counterparts- the Deputy High Commissioner and Political Counsellor Ms. Michelle Podmore and the Second Secretary Ms. Courtney Rose of the New Zealand High Commission in Suva.
On behalf of the MFA Team, Director Oceania Mr. Jonetani Tagivetaua thanked Ms. Podmore and Ms. Rose for their exemplary commitment and services to #Fiji and the #Pacific region.
He conveyed Fiji’s appreciation for their incredible support which, has culminated into milestone achievements in the advancement of the bilateral relations between Fiji and New Zealand and the regional solidarity of the Blue #Pacific Family.
He mentioned that the “Duavata Partnership” signed earlier this year between the Prime Ministers of both our nations, signifies an enduring partnership and everlasting friendship between Fiji-New Zealand.
Mr. Tagivetaua extended MFA’s best wishes to both the diplomats for their future endeavours, with assurances of continued friendship and strong cooperation between Fiji Ministry of Foreign Affairs and New Zealand High Commission in Fiji.
Ms. Podmore and Ms Rose acknowledged the Fiji Ministry of Foreign Affairs Team for their excellent support rendered during their tenure in Fiji, which has been certainly memorable.
They said it has been an honour to serve in Fiji and they are grateful for the friendship and fond memories of warm Fijian hospitality. Both the diplomats look forward to visiting our shores again, when the opportunity arises in the future.
