The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Team led by the Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka and Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Lenora Qereqeretabua attended the Easter Church Service held at the Centenary Church, in Suva on Tuesday 15th April 2025.
The combined Easter service was attended by the cabinet ministers, permanent secretaries, and civil servants.
The service reflected on the sacrifice by Christ on the cross and subsequent resurrection which provided the foundation for unwavering faith and the promise of eternal life.
It included a thanksgiving prayer and benediction, resonating powerful messages of hope and renewal, god’s eternal love and grace, and the promise of new beginnings.
In his remarks, Prime Minister Rabuka highlighted the significance of Easter celebrations in building unity, peace and prosperity.
Prime Minister Rabuka thanked all the civil servants for their contributions to nation building and encouraged them to stay firm and committed their roles and to continue serving to the best of their abilities. He wished a very blessed and joyous Easter celebrations to all the civil servants and families in Fiji and abroad.
The service was also an opportunity for the civil servants to get together and reflect on the significance of the Easter celebrations, further emphasizing the importance of commitment to service.
