A recent visit from the Pacific Security College to the Fiji Ministry of Foreign Affairs looked at avenues to strengthen regional security capacity and collectively address the unique security challenges facing the Pacific Island nations through dialogue and collaboration.
A team led by Director of the Pacific Security College Professor Dave Peebles were grateful for the opportunity to meet with Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Dr Raijeli Taga at the Ministry’s headquarters in Suva.
Dr Taga welcomed Professor Peebles and his Team for the discussions focused on expanding future cooperation ahead of the Pacific Regional National Security Conference (PRNSC) to be held in Fiji later this year.
Professor Peebles in his remarks thanked Dr Taga for the productive discussions aimed at enhancing future engagements between Fiji Government and the Pacific Security College.
He reaffirmed that the Pacific Security College will work closely with the Ministry on enhancing partnership focused on promoting regional security, peace and prosperity across the Pacific region.
The Pacific Security College is an educational institution dedicated to a peaceful, safe and secure future for all the people of the Blue Pacific. Its mission is to be of service to Pacific Islands Forum member countries, through: training courses, ️️learning opportunities, policy engagement and regional collaboration.
