Prime Minister, Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama has conveyed a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Moon Jae-in, on the occasion of the National Foundation Day commemorated on 3rd October, 2021.
In a congratulatory message, Prime Minister Bainimarama extended Fiji’s best wishes to President Moon Jae-in and the people of the Republic of Korea for their continued success and prosperity.
In appreciation of the long-standing partnership between the two nations, Prime Minister said that Republic of Korea’s compelling story of rapid economic development continues to inspire nations such as Fiji, and we endeavor to emulate and learn from the Korean experience.
Prime Minister said our two nation’s share a common bond of friendship and mutual respect, which will be further solidified as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the formalisation of Fiji-Korea relations.
He reaffirmed Fiji’s commitment to explore new opportunities for the advancement of collaborations in the future with the Republic of Korea.
On the regional front, Prime Minister Bainimarama commended Republic of Korea for its commitment to the sustainable development and he looks forward to the opportunity presented at the upcoming Foreign Minister’s Meeting in November to consolidate and further enhance our collective efforts for the region.
