SSP Kasiano Vusonilawe of the Fiji Police Force recently graduated in strategic policy studies from the National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (LEMHANNAS) on Tuesday, 27 August 2024.
The elite institute, established by Presidential decree, assists the Republic of Indonesia in developing a national-level cadre of senior leaders from the disciplined forces, civil service, business and civil society who have undergone strategic leadership training, assessing national, regional, and international strategic issues and strengthening national values.
This award was preceded by two compulsory courses that started from middle-level management, and undergoing Bahasa language courses, which, together, takes a total of 4 years. On Tuesday last week, SSP Vusonilawe, attained the result he so worked hard for.
The graduating batch of 2024 received 13 months of instructive learning. The course comprised 100 students, eight of which are foreign candidates from Australia, Fiji, India, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Timor-Leste and Singapore.
SSP Vusonilawe follows in the footsteps of fellow senior Fiji Police Force officers that included the Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Internal Affairs and Professional Standards (ACP) Sakeo Ganivatu.
By their attendance and graduation these police officers have contributed immensely to the close cooperation between the two Police Forces at the institution level, and bilaterally, at the government-to-government level. Such achievement is reached at a time when Fiji and the world’s third largest democracy, Indonesia, commemorates 50 years of strong and enduring relations.
While farewelling SSP Vusonilawe at the Fiji House, Ambassador Amena Yauvoli and the Fiji Embassy Jakarta (FEJ) team, is proud to celebrate this outstanding achievement. This feat can only be achieved through dedication, commitment, and support of the family, the Fiji Police Force, and the Mission in Jakarta. The Fiji Embassy in Jakarta conveys its best wishes for SSP Vusonilawe’s further professional development in the Fiji Police Force.
