Graduation is a time to celebrate an extremely pivotal accomplishment in the lives of students and recognise the importance of education in every aspect of development.
In a joyous occasion held this afternoon (1/12/23) in Navua, the students at the Vashist Muni Kindergarten, were awarded with medals and certificates, to praise their hardwork and dedication in completing their first year of education.
Speaking as the chief guest at the occasion, the Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Lenora Qereqeretabua congratulated all the students for their achievements and wished them well for their future endeavours.
Assistant Minister Qereqeretabua emphasised on the importance of education in advancing our national development, unity and prosperity.
She thanked the teachers for their unwavering commitment to deliver service excellence in education sector and also acknowledged parents and guardians for their invaluable support for their children.
The Assistant Minister highlighted the collaborative and consultative approach taken by the People’s Coalition Government to advance Fiji’s national priorities, with education being at the forefront.
The school management warmly welcomed Assistant Minister Qereqeretabua and commended her for serving the nation with unwavering commitment and courage, and for being an inspiration and mentor to many women and girls in Fiji and beyond.
The Head of School, Mr Brij Bhan Singh said the Vashist Muni School operates with the good values and principles like kindness, respect and solidarity, and it does not differentiate between religion, gender and ethnicity. A talanoa session following the program, also highlighted the positive response and benefits of the rollout of the Government’s new Back to School Initiative.
A total of 90 students were part of today’s graduation program at the Vashist Muni Kindergarten. The celebrations reinforced the message, “future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams and strive to achieve their goals to the best of their abilities.”
Established in 1986, the Vashist Muni Kindergarten aspires to build vibrant citizens and good ambassadors of the school and the beloved Fiji. Students from as far as Namosi and Serua province have acquired their education at this school.
